Cello Plus... Chamber Music Festival - BACH Around the Clock  (Performing Arts (Dance, Music, Theatre, ...))

Get ready for a twelve-hour marathon of Bach music at 12:00, 3:00, 7:30, and 9:30 p.m.; preview lectures by Michael Callahan 15 minutes before each concert.

12:00 p.m. -- Suite for cello solo in C major, Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 in B-flat major, Sonata for violin solo in C major, Orchestral Suite/Overture No. 2
3:00 p.m. - Double Violin Concerto in D minor, Violin Concerto in E major, Double Concerto for Violin and Oboe in C minor
7:30 p.m. - Ich armer Mensch, ich Sündenknecht; Concerto for two pianos in C minor; Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major; Piano Concerto in F minor; Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 in B-flat major
9:30 p.m. - Goldberg Variations in G major

ALSO: Well-Tempered Clavier, Book I, complete ˇ 2:00 and 4:30 p.m.; preview lectures by Patrick Johnson at 1:45 and Stephen Armstrong at 4:15 p.m. Venue: Hart Recital Hall; admission to these two concerts (only) is free.

The Bach Around the Clock Marathon features Suren Bagratuni, cello; Dmitri Berlinsky, violin; Michael Callahan, harpsichord; Yuri Gandelsman, viola; Richard Sherman, flute; Minsoo Sohn, piano; Ralph Votapek, piano; I-Fu Wang, violin; International Chamber Soloists; and guest artists Ruggero Allifranchini, violin; Randolph Kelly, viola; Nils Neubert, tenor; Ling Yi Ou Yang, cello; Liz Spector Callahan, oboe; Albertine Votapek, piano, and the Camerata MSU Ensemble.
